"Bethlehem," the town of Jesus' birth, means "house of bread". Bethlehem Lutheran Church has discovered that being loved by Jesus, the Bread of Life, inspires us to love Jesus; and that loving Jesus means loving all people and all of God's creation. We take our mission statement seriously: Sharing the Bread of Life with a Hungry World. We have been fed with the Bread of Life through Word and Sacraments, and our purpose is to share that Bread of Life with the rest of the world in as many ways as possible.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Northeastern Iowa Synod (Northeastern Star Newsletter). Our partnership with these expressions of the church extends our ministries beyond anything we could do by ourselves.
We are one of the seven founding congregations of NewAldaya Lifescapes. We are supporters of the chapel renovation, designed to make worship more meaningful for and adapted to the residents' needs. You can learn more at Chapel Renovation.
We would love to Share the Bread of Life with you!
